An interesting article following the release by APRA of its 2011/2012 financial results, with the finding that royalties paid to musicians grew by 14% – or 28.9 million – in the preceding year. Of particular interest was the 21% growth in income from digital downloads, a sign perhaps that the era of illegal downloading has come to an end?
