In a recent Tumblr post, Taylor Swift penned an open-letter explaining her decision to withhold her latest album 1989 from Apple’s upcoming streaming service, Apple Music. Ms Swift criticised Apple’s plan not to pay the music rights holders during the free three-month trial, as “shocking” and “disappointing”.

The tech giant quickly backed down, saying that it would pay artists and musicians royalties during the trial. Eddy Cue, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services, took to Twitter to address the issue:

Let’s hope there’s no more ‘bad blood’!
